Dr. Ufuoma Festus Omo-Obi is a seasoned global health and international development executive with over 20 years of experience leading large-scale, multi-country programmes across Africa. He has lived and worked in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, and Nigeria, bringing deep contextual knowledge and hands-on expertise in health systems strengthening, social sector reform, and locally led development.
He previously served as Chief Africa Officer at Options Consultancy Services recently transitioning to become the founding MD/CEO WCAHealth Health Options Ltd/GTE an independent, nationally governed, and regionally anchored health systems and social impact organization. Under his leadership, WCAHealth seeks to advance equity in health, social services, and governance through evidence-based, community-driven, and digitally enabled solutions.
Dr. Ufuoma has mobilized significant resources and steered partnerships resulting in over $100 million in donor investments, working extensively with governments and leading bilateral, multilateral, and philanthropic partners. His technical expertise spans Integrated Health and Social Outcomes; Health Systems Strengthening and Accountability; Communicable Diseases and Global Health Security; and Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Data-Driven Delivery.
He also contributes to high-level national and regional governance platforms, advancing policies that strengthen resilience and improve outcomes for women, newborns, adolescents, and vulnerable communities.
